Norman Powell operating in second unit role for Clippers on Wednesday

Nidhi

Norman Powell is operating in a second-unit role for the Los Angeles Clippers on Wednesday.

The Clippers acquired Powell in a trade with the Portland Trail Blazers last week.

Powell scored 22 points in his Clippers debut on Sunday against the Philadelphia 76ers.

However, he struggled in Tuesday's game against the Orlando Magic, scoring just 6 points.

Powell is expected to come off the bench again on Wednesday against the San Antonio Spurs.

The Clippers are without key starters such as Kawhi Leonard, Paul George, and Patrick Beverley due to injuries.

The 27-year-old guard is averaging 18.2 points per game this season.

Powell is expected to be a key contributor for the Clippers down the stretch of the regular season.

The Clippers will need Powell to step up and help fill the void left by their injured stars.
